Make the Lemon Caper Sauce

Lower the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up browned bits from the bottom.
Let the sauce simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.
Stir in the capers and remaining tablespoon of butter until melted and glossy.
4 Return Chicken & Finish

Place the chicken back into the skillet.
Spoon the sauce over the cutlets and let everything simmer together for 2 more minutes to blend the flavors.
Remove from heat and sprinkle with lemon zest and chopped parsley.
5 Serve

Serve warm with extra sauce spooned on top.
Chicken Piccata goes well with pasta, mashed potatoes, or steamed greens.
Optionally garnish with more lemon slices or a light Parmesan sprinkle.
